Good bye 2017....Hello 2018

It’s been an epic year. Both personal and globally.

Huge shout out to all those who chose to look inward in 2017. That shit can be hard.

As the year winds down I embrace all the moments of learning and lay to rest the ones of pain. I hold deep in my heart all the love that I have felt and smile fondly over the shared moments of friendship and kindness. I feel blessed and grateful for all that has come my way.

Wishing Everyone a Beautiful New Year. I hope it’s filled with opportunity, prosperity, awe-inspiring moments of pure joy and blissful contentment all topped off with kick ass Peace, Love and Light.

The Blades of youth

This morning I awoke to the sun’s rays shining down thru the bedroom window blinds. It sparked a fond distant memory from my childhood. When I was 11 years old I was always building forts. Boxes, blankets and furniture. These were some of the elements that I used to create my little kingdom. I would start first thing in the morning and by lunchtime my mom would be serving up a P&J sandwich to me in my palatial palace. My little brother would try to storm the castle. Sometimes I would grant him a pass and other times I would throw my sweet slice of heaven into total lock down.

My favorite fort was not made of household items. It was made out of blades of grass. Out behind our house there was a vast empty field. In the Springtime I would grab up a blanket and a book and climb over the back fence to begin my adventure. The grasses were tall…Prairie grass, most blades were 5 feet and thick. I would begin burrowing my way ground up creating a long tunnel to a small thick thatched area where I would plop down my blanket and dive into a book. It felt like a grass igloo. The sun would filter thru the blades and the smell was musky. It smelled like spring. Sadly, I only spent one season in my secret grassy fort. The field was bought by a housing development company and my grassy world was torn down. I remember the day when the bulldozer plowed down the vegetation and with it a tiny piece of my heart. The afternoons spent reading “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe while the breeze softly blew thru the grassy blades of my secret little kingdom will always be dear to me.

The almighty dollar wins again...

"Elephants show compassion, sympathy, social intelligence, self-awareness, they're excellent at learning abilities.”

The Trump administration is reversing an Obama-era ban on hunters importing trophies of elephants killed in Zambia and Zimbabwe during government-approved big-game expeditions.
Though elephants are listed as endangered, a provision of the Endangered Species Act allows the government to give permits to import such trophies if there is evidence that the hunting benefits conservation for that species. Hunters typically pay hefty fees to local government agencies for permission to pursue the animals. An official told ABC news that they have new information from Zimbabwe and Zambia to support reversing the ban to allow trophy hunting permits.

"What kind of message does it send to say to the world that poor Africans who are struggling to survive cannot kill elephants in order to use or sell their parts to make a living, but that it's just fine for rich Americans to slay the beasts for their tusks to keep as trophies?" - Matthew Diebel / USA Today

Bottom line... The almighty dollar wins again. It’s OK to kill for money.

We as a human race need to come together to make a change in the way we live and think. Nothing good can ever come from killing for money. Life is precious on ALL levels.

Wish Granting Stone

Rutilated Red Epidote in Smoky Quartz...

Beautiful and full of vibrant energy. The magic of this stone is truly magnificent.

Crimson bars of Epidote jut through a bed of Smoky quartz with brilliant rainbow inclusions.
Red Epidote grounds you, protects you, activates and manifests your desired outcomes. It is known as the wish granting stone because of its power to create reality. Smoky quartz is another powerhouse stone. It transmutes negativity and absorbs all energies that are not serving you. It is a powerful protector, purifier, and gatekeeper.

I embraced this stone this morning, set my intentions and I am ready to manifest another painting

Moon Magic

Moon Magic
"The Primary Evolution of Emotion
Moon phases 1st, Full and 3rd"

The Moon effects many things around us: Tides, Seasons and the Earth’s rotation. It also effects our mind, body and emotions.
There are eight distinct and traditionally recognized moon phases.
In this first painting I chose the 1st, Full and 3rd phases. To me they are the power houses in the complete monthly moon cycle. They are energy and manifestation based.

1st Quarter is the time when energies are most conductive to attraction. A time to draw things outside of yourself to YOU. A time to take action.

Full is the most powerful of the lunar cycle. The energies are prismatic in that it flows into all areas and needs. The full moon phase is the time for you to be confident in your actions and go through with them.

3rd Quarter is the perfect time to deal with obstacles or leaping over hurtles. This is the completion phase. A time to implement closure, clean up loose ties and prep for the New Moon…new beginnings.

A sweet slice of Bali...

It’s been a long time since I wrote about my dreams. To be honest I haven’t really had any significant dreams…until last night...

Last night I dreamt that I was walking down a beautiful lush pathway in a sweet slice of Bali paradise. I came to a beautiful Teak wood Bali Javanese joglo style home. Joglo is a type of traditional house of the Javanese people. The word joglo refers to the shape of the roof. It had the tallest doorway I have ever seen. It was two stories high and made of Javanese Teak. As I walked thru the doorway the home opened up to a grand communal living area with a gigantic stone fire place in the center. I could smell a subtle presence of Sandalwood and Patchouli incense. To the left there was a long hallway to many bedrooms and to the right was the dining area and kitchen. What caught my eye was what lied straight ahead beyond the center. A Nano wall that was wide open leading out onto a gorgeous full deck and at arm’s length was a waterfall. I walked slowly to the edge of the deck and I could feel the mist quenching the air. I reached my hand out and felt the water as it cascaded down from the hillside. There was a natural swimming pool at the bottom filled with crystals that glistened from the sunlight through the tall lush tropical foliage. It was pure serenity…

Photo does the dream no justice. Still, a beautiful home.

November 4th Full Moon wisdom...

Well hello there Full Moon 🌕

Woke up this morning to “Home” by Dustin Tebbutt swimming about in my head...

The Full moon in Taurus peaked thru early this morning. I grabbed up a cup of love and adorned my wrist with a lovely strand of Amber. Amber is one of the stones associated with the sign Taurus. It clears negative energy, promotes self-confidence and creative self-expression. It encourages decision-making, spontaneity and brings wisdom, balance and patience. Casts off great energy.

Change is in the air, and this grounding Taurus energy may finally help those of us who’ve been dazed and confused get back into our bodies and good sense. These grounding moonbeams can help us plant our feet on terra firma.
This is a time to explore how you can build material and emotional resources. A time to clear any limiting beliefs about your personal worth and value so that you can move forward to manifest the life that which you desire. Full moon in Taurus initiates the building process. Think like a tree…digging in your roots. Expanding, reaching, pushing and growing…cultivating your intentions. This can be a beautiful and powerful time…

Sable the Wise

With the exception of my travels, every morning this is the first face I see...

My day starts out with a paw to the face and gradually moves into a cup of love. From that point on the morning business commences. E-mails, Media and contemplation towards the day that is unfolding before my eyes.
Usually as I write I talk. I sound out my words before laying them down. It’s at that moment that this little one starts in…tipping her head back and forth. Occasionally she will give me the paw down motion. Paw on arm or laptop. It’s at that moment that I stop and allow myself to rest. To free up my mind from mass media. To be in the now.
Sable and my Art are always a gentle reminder that life really is to be taken in with every passing moment. To be mindful, to reconnect with me, to be blessed for the love and light that flows into my life, to slow down and just BREATHE.

Sable’s got it all figured out…love this little wolfie

Purity Trapped in a Crystal Vault

The Enhydro Crystal is Single & Double Terminated Clear Quartz. The term "Enhydro" means there is fluid, gas or carbon bubbles within the crystal. The fluid can be very old and more than likely very pure.

The "bubbles" were formed millions of years ago when the Quartz was originally formed and they are quite rare to find.
Enhydro crystals bring a synergy of water element and earth element energies. They blend the imagination and the practical, combine creativity with stability. Enhydro Crystals can be an excellent tool for relationship work. Utilize this crystal to enhance empathy towards another, enabling the knowledge of the other person's perspective, and helping progress to occur in the relationship.

Meditating with an Enhydro can bring forth valuable information about ourselves and lessons on how we give up, shut down, are too protective over or too giving of our power. Working with an Enhydro quartz will most definitely bring us back into balance.

I truly believe that right now everyone on this planet could benefit from this powerful healing Crystal.

Staurolite...aka Fairy Cross

Recently when I was in New Mexico I was introduced to this beautiful powerful stone; Staurolite aka Fairy Cross. Upon my research I came to a pretty sweet legend. It is as follows:

The legend of the Fairy Cross. It is an old Cherokee legend handed down through almost 2,000 years. The Cherokee had no temples, no shrines, and no idols. The Sun and the Moon and the Stars were the trinity. The lightning and the wind, the thunder and the rain provoked both reverence and fear.
There is a belief among the Cherokee that the crosses had the power to render the owner invisible at will. Some say the stones are a reward for goodness and kindness to all people. The Nunnehi, were immortal spirits who dwelled in the fastness of the mountains. They had their townhouses under the Cherokee mounds and under the hills. They were the spirit people who could make themselves invisible at will after they had come into possession of the tiny fairy crosses.

Staurolite honors the four directions, as above so below, it protects you from the "Evil Eye". This stone connects the physical, etheric and spiritual planes, which in turn promotes communication between them.

Staurolite is useful in relieving stress, eases depression and it negates a tendency to over work and over commit energy. Something we can all use from time to time.
